When does your breath become air again?
When you exhale, and I’m there to inhale,
Is what I breathe still your breath, still part of you?
How far from you, as it travels toward me,
Does it cease being yours and become mine?
And is there a moment in between,
When it is neither yours nor mine,
But simply air, floating there, between us?
